Disabled Students attending University face different types of problems with stigma than the average student attending University. The lack of the disabled at the Graduate Level and as Professional Students is significant. In fact there are almost no disabled Professors at many Institutions of Higher Learning. We aim to change this.

The Mission of the DSHE is to organize, educate, and change the way disabled students are perceived.

The purpose of the Disabled Students in Higher Education is to improve educational opportunities for the disabled. The group aims to give a voice for the disabled where there was none before. Our goal is to organize, educate, and change the ways the disabled are perceived in the University environment. Finally, the group will seek to change legislation on the way accommodations are given to Disabled Students.
